1. Drink water - remove all sodas even diet sodas from your diet; this alone can help you lose 10-15 pounds; besides, diet sodas have bad chemical sugar substitutes that are known to be bad to your health. Read the label and look it up.

2. Chew gum - When you are hungry and it is not time to eat, chew gum. This will curb your appetite until it is time to eat. Stay away from sugary gums though.

3. Brush your teeth - Yep, brushing your teeth will curb your appetite because your taste buds are stimulated from the toothpaste.

4. Eat a fruit –- right before you are going to go out to eat, eat your favorite piece of fruit. This way once you get to the restaurant you won't be so hungry and you'll probably even stay away from the free chips or bread which will definitely add up to more calories than your favorite fruit.

5. Drink a full glass of water -– As soon as you start feeling hungry, drink a full glass of water. This will deter your hunger pains at least momentarily. Also, if you are going out to eat, as soon as you get to the restaurant drink a full glass of water.

6. Share your meal –- share an entrée with a friend, spouse, etc. at a restaurant or at home share your plate. Fix your normal plate of food and then give half to someone else. At a restaurant, this will save you both calories and money.

7. Low willpower –- if you have low or no willpower, trust someone else to order for you. As soon as you get to a restaurant, put down the menu. Don't even look at it and have someone else order for you. Tell them beforehand that you want the lightest, least calories, least fat dish that restaurant has to offer. At home, have someone else fix your plate of food and tell them to be conservative with the portions.

8. Plan ahead -– If you plan, your order or your meal before you are actually starving hungry, you will make better choices.

9. Cheat Day –- Cheat just one day a week. Make sure it is the same day every week are you will likely quit your diet. On that day, you can have whatever. You will being to see that you can only eat so much in a day and if you are dieting during the week, you won't be able to eat as much as you thought you would on your cheat day.

10. Don't let your diet control your life – - Don't be unhappy dieting. Make changes where necessary and remember everybody is different so what works well for you may not work well for someone else and vice versa. Try different dieting tips and keep using what works well for you or is easiest. Remember, the easier your diet is the more motivated you will become.
